It was 2023 and we were hosting Thanksgiving BUT I was itching to get the holiday decorating started. So...I created a Thanksgiving inspired decorative mantel.
I scoured my attic for all the bit and pieces and headed out to my yard and clipped the beautifully-colored hydrangea and some left over greens that were still alive in my deck planters. Using command hooks and some zip ties I got to work. Oh, and I had found a twig wreath at Good Will that I took apart and used, but sticks from the yard could also work, or you could just skip that bit. In my ribbon bag I found the roping with some gold thread and layered that in a bow in front.
Once Thanksgiving was over I removed the pumpkins and left it for the next holiday.
