When the kids (or should I say adult kids) come home for a holiday or gathering I usually ask them what they want me to make while they're home.  This one is top of the list.  And as someone who was always intimidated by making meatballs I am here to tell you these are easier than you may think.  Especially because they bake in the oven so no messy frying on the cook top. Yes, there are a lot of ingredients + a good bit of chopping but it's well worth it.  Sometimes I even make them the day before and then the next day plunk them in the dutch oven with 2 jars of store bought sauce the.

Leave it to Ina Garten to create a turkey meatball that has AMAZING flavor!

Simply google her and the meatballs and you will easily find the recipe...enjoy!

A few quick tips after making these LOTS!

-plan ahead, the loaf of bread needs time to get old ;)

-much easier to buy the Italian sausage on the board vs. in the casings

-a recipe typically makes about 42 meatballs
